Amy is now almost 19 weeks and starting to show!! She seems to be done with the nausea but some back pain is starting to develop. Tracking her weight, she has gained a total of 6 pounds from day one to today. If she can stay on this track she will have little problem loosing any birth weight she may have put on.
We went for an ultrasound a few days ago to get some pictures and to find out the gender of our little one. Unfortunately, we were told that Amy has what's called an anterior placenta. Basically this mans that the baby is behind the placenta instead of it being behind the baby. Perfectly normal at this point but it makes it very hard to get clear pictures with the 4-D ultrasound. We did manage to get a few still shots off the video that are not too bad.
As for the baby itself…..it’s a boy!!! He currently weighs 10oz, his foot measured 3cm and his heart rate was a strong 158bpm which is all normal. He is right in the middle of the growth charts for this time in the pregnancy.
